Mordred was my first Polymer Clay figure. Initially I had thought to give him a look of surprise, later changing the positioning of his hands to widen his stance and give him a sense of balance.

I was working with two different clay's at this stage. The white clay used in the  (nose area), had degraded, apparently not stored correctly by retailer, and was unworkable. I moved to the Super Sculpy and completed the work much more easily.

Mordred, still maintains his look of surprise and his outstretched hands balance his Left leg which is in step mode behind him. 

Mordred's costume is a mixture of my hand-dyed fabrics, found objects and op-shop recycled items. His eyes are hand painted.

Here's Mordred enjoying a spot of gardening. Mordred is 50cm high, has Super Sculpey Original face, hands and feet.  He has a wire armature body support system, with Poly-wadding and stretch fabric body and skin. Mordred is part of a private collection.
